It's been brought to our attention that folks want to know more about the people behind the logo.  Since opening The Shave Mercantile in July of 2015, we've purposefully kept the spotlight on the artisan products and wetshaving gear that our website carries.  If you want to know a little more about us, well here ya go :

My name is Ethan and I'm the owner of The Shave Mercantile.  I live near Music City USA with my lovely bride.  Not long after discovering a passion for wetshaving, I found myself collecting and restoring vintage straight razors and converting people to vintage style shaving.  Fast forward a few years and that passion was turned into a small business. The Shave Mercantile was born.

The Shave Mercantile will strive to provide you with a comprehensive selection of premium products for your shaving needs and offer unsurpassed customer service that follows The Golden Rule.  It's our hope that you would let us be your source for premium wetshaving supplies.

                                                   

Return Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we aim for a satisfied customer. Items and packages are inspected before leaving The Shave Mercantile.  Unfortunately,  occasionally a package might get roughed up a bit in transit. If by some chance the contents of a package arrives to you damaged or defective, shoot us an email at info@theshavemercantile.com along with a description and photos of the damage and we will arrange to have those items replaced at no cost to you. 

Returns:  All unused items must be returned to us within 10 days for a full refund (minus the shipping cost).  Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on used products.  Due to the nature of some of the products (ie soaps, razor blades, etc) that would be . . .well . . . just gross.

Clearance Items: All sales on Clearance Items are final.

Shipping:  

We’re no strangers to shipping and we strive to offer our customers the best shipping rates that we can offer.  We do have relationships with and use ALL of the major carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.), but our main one is USPS.

We’re currently using flat rate pricing. You can choose at checkout which service you would like to use :

USPS Ground Advantage - Flat Rate - $4.75 (2-5 Business Days) This is our most popular shipping option.

USPS Priority Mail - Flat Rate - $7.85 (1-3 Business Days) - Must NOT contain alcohol based products. If order contains alcohol based products, the order will automatically be changed to ground service and the difference in shipping cost will be refunded to you.

We offer FREE SHIPPING on ALL U.S. orders over $45.

Tracking numbers will be provided with your order and can be tracked at USPS.com.  

There is none of that “Please Allow 3 days for processing” here.  NONE.  Orders will ship within 1 business day. If for any reason the order cannot ship within one business day, you will be contacted immediately.

Tracking : A small disclaimer here :  Sometimes you have to take tracking info from USPS with a grain of salt.  USPS tracking info can occasionally have glitches. Those are beyond anyone's control. From time to time it can show something that might make you scratch your head and go "Huh"? We ask that you please allow 48 hours for tracking info to be updated.  Most times, it will correct itself.  Just so you know, we keep an eye on ALL packages while in transit to make sure they arrive to you.

Shipping Restrictions : Due to FAA & USPS restrictions, items containing alcohol (ie. aftershaves) are considered flammable and MUST be shipped via ground service.  If you order an aftershave, it will automatically be changed to a USPS ground service.  Ground service might be a tad longer in transit time, just so you know, but it ensures that your package arrives to you safely and prevents an airplane from potentially catching fire!

International Customers :   The Shave Mercantile DOES ship internationally (with the exception of alcohol based products).  Our website is currently open to orders from several countries. If you’re outside of those countries and would like our products (non alcohol based), please contact us at info@theshavemercantile.com.

Please note : The Shave Mercantile will not "low ball" the declared value of an international order. Also, we are not responsible for customs charges / import taxes that may be charged in the country of destination.
